This eagle is one of my most cherished reminders of God’s faithfulness. It has come to symbolize so much more than a majestic creature; it has become a tangible message from heaven itself.
Life can feel heavy sometimes, can’t it? We all carry burdens—some visible, others buried deep within. For me, one of the heaviest has been navigating the balance between being there for my 93-year-old mother, who has been in long-term care for over five years, and all the other demands life places on my shoulders.
There are moments when I walk away from visiting her with my heart full, reassured that she felt loved and cared for. Then there are other times when no matter what I do, I feel like it’s never enough. Those are the hardest days—leaving her behind while my heart cries out, wishing I could do more.
It was after one of those particularly hard visits that God sent me an extraordinary gift—a majestic eagle. I noticed it on my drive home, and in that moment, an indescribable peace settled over my spirit. It felt as if God Himself whispered to me, "You are not alone. I see you. I am with you."
Since that day, the eagle has appeared countless times, almost always at the perfect moment when my heart was crying out for reassurance. Yesterday was another one of those moments. In the stillness of prayer, I had just said, "Lord, today would be the perfect day to see my eagle." And just like that, there he was in all his splendor—a direct answer to my heart’s longing. It was as if God said, "Here’s your hope. Hold on a little longer."
If you’re feeling weary today, let me remind you that God has His own way of speaking into our lives. Whether through an eagle in the sky, a verse from Scripture, or an encouraging word from a friend, He is always reaching out to let us know we’re never alone. What might seem like an ordinary moment could very well be God’s extraordinary reminder for you to press on.
Have you ever experienced something similar? A moment so perfectly timed that it left no doubt it was God’s hand at work? I’d love to hear your story—it might just inspire someone else who needs it!
